2/19/11 Forecast For The Week

Courtesy HPC

Hello!
Today was definitely a beautiful day here in Starkville!  Definitely enjoying the warm temperatures (like 13 degrees above average).  This week is going to be a little more dynamic than last week because around Monday night the cold front that is attached to a very large system will be moving through the area, but it will only bring a moderate chance of rain and bring temperatures back down to the 50’s, but fear not because we will quickly rebound back into the 60’s and 70’s by the end of the week!
Forecast for the week:
Sunday: Sunny by the afternoon with a high of 78 and a low of 57
Monday: Mostly cloudy with a high of 72 and a low of 42 with a chance of rain late in the afternoon and into the evening.
Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the 50’s and lows in the 30’s
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 60’s
Have a great week!

Warmer Weather in Mississippi...Finally

With the occurrence of last weeks' 5" of snow, most of us in the deep south have decided that it is time for spring to make its appearance.  Those people will be in luck because this week a High pressure system will be influencing the weather in our area giving us a dry and warm week! Temperatures are going to be in the 60's this week, possibly warming to the 70's by Friday.  All in all this weeks weather will be a welcome change from the frigid temperatures we have been dealing with so far this winter.

Cold Again!

Did you enjoy the weather today?  I know I did! Unfortunately, it is short lived.  Tomorrow a cold front is going to push through the area once again giving us the possibility for some cold rain and winter weather.  Tonight through early tomorrow any precipitation that we will see in our area will be a cold rain, which will no doubt be annoying (like all cold rains).  There is also the possibility for some snow to head our way tomorrow, probably in the form of a wintry mix, but don’t expect any accumulation.  Of course, it seems we can’t have more than one comfortable day in the area so temperatures are going to dip down once again and see lows in the 20’s once the cold front has passed.  On a hopeful note the groundhog saw his shadow so I know I am hoping for an early spring (fingers crossed!).
